Responsibilities

For the Respeck project I have been in charge of PCB design, firmware development and some app development since the first prototype. I have also coordinated with the product design company on the design of the enclosure and attachment method, and organised manufacturing of the enclosure and PCB for each iteration.

Features

Respeck is designed to operate for extended periods of time from the built-in battery. The firmware is highly optimised for low-power operation. Nonetheless the latest version of Respeck performs breathing calculations on-device, allowing for prolonged operation away from the host device.

 The latest iteration of Respeck incorporates wireless charging, Bluetooth LE connection to smartphones and tablets, efficient power management and multiple sensors to combine the functionality of the Respeck and Orient devices.
